Cross training: Front squat, single leg work, pull-ups, box jumps and correctives

Hiking: Shooting for the 8 and 8.

June 14th & 15th:

Healing skin

  • Objective: Do the whole workout – even if I don’t want to

  • Objective: Get it done.

I kid you not I saw my very first Scarlet Tanager (and a male at that!) today.  It was incredible.  I didn’t even know there was a bird like that in the Southeast.  Fuck poison ivy tho.

June 9th:

  • Objective: Paint my toe nails

  • Objective: Try out new shoes

New shoes and I think they actually fit!

June 6th:

  • Activity: Hike, medium pace
  • Objective: Try to run all the downhills
  • Totals:  2 hours 26 minutes, 403 m, 11.2 km

A little hot but breezy. Feeling a little sluggish but happy to be outside on such a day.  Need different shoes.

June 5th:

  • Activity: Front squats and bench press
  • Objective: Try not to look too unathletic
  • Totals:  1 hour
  • Water: 1 liter, plain

I’m so fucking strong. I could probably get hit by a car again and be totally fine.

June 3rd:

  • Activity: Climbing
  • Objective: Try out moves on two moonboard problems, send mini-proj, find a new mini-project
  • Totals:  1 hour 30 minutes
  • Water: 2 liters, plain

I finally got the moonboard all to myself! – up until the end when I got bro’ed out. Missing the PNW community so much.  Sent mini proj and found another one.

June 2nd:

  • Activity: Correctives and Single leg work
  • Objective: Have good form and patience
  • Totals: 1 hours 30 minutes
  • Water: unlimited, plain

Did shoulder and hip correctives along with some single leg work.  Pretty soon I’ll be the flamingo of my dreams.
